A Great Place to Live

The Modesto area is ideally located in the heart of California’s great central valley. There’s lots to do in Modesto: parks, recreational sports, theater, opera, art, the Modesto Symphony Orchestra, historical and natural history museums, summer concerts in the park and festivals reflecting the area’s cultural and agricultural diversity.

An hour of travel will take you to Sacramento, the Delta or to one of five reservoirs. You’ll find even more opportunities close by. Just a couple of hours in the car gets you to the ocean or the mountains. Yosemite National Park, Monterey and San Francisco are easy day trip destinations.

This area has long been considered one of California’s best-kept secrets. Take a closer look at Modesto and Stanislaus County.
