State Water Board votes to proceed with water grab (PDF)

While the State Water Resources Control Board voted on Wednesday December 12 to move forward with their Bay-Delta Water Quality Control Plan and Substitute Environmental Document (SED) mandating 40 percent unimpaired flow from the Tuolumne, Stanislaus and Merced rivers, they included language in their approved resolution that directed their staff to further evaluate the Tuolumne River voluntary agreement and provide an analysis by March 1, 2019.

Despite having well over a year to adequately address thousands of public comments from our region - 6,589 from the Worth Your Fight campaign alone - the State Water Resources Control Board today doubled down on its proposal to mandate 40 percent unimpaired flows along the Tuolumne River from February 1 to June 30 annually.

MID hires new General Manager (PDF)
The MID Board of Directors unanimously appointed and announced Scott Furgerson as the District's General Manager. Furgerson joins MID following a 36-year career with Southern California Gas Company and San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E), Sempra Energy’s regulated California utilities.

Districts unveil Tuolumne River Management Plan (PDF)
The Modesto and Turlock Irrigation Districts filed the Amended Final License Application for the Don Pedro Project and the Final License Application for the La Grange Project with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). The Tuolumne River Management Plan describes the Districts proposed operations, improvements and resource protection measures under a new FERC license for the Don Pedro Project.

MID warns customers of scammers (PDF)
Modesto Irrigation District has received reports of scams where callers are contacting MID customers and claiming to be a MID representative. These callers state that the electric meter (or equipment) at the customer's residence needs to be replaced and that an immediate payment needs to be made to ensure that their service won't be cancelled.
