Water Safety Classes
YMCA Splash Week
Each Spring vacation, the YMCA offers "Splash", a program to teach kids and families to be safer in and around water. Each participant will attend five, one-hour classes for only $15 per student. Each youngster has a daily schedule of 1/2 hour in the classroom and 1/2 hour in the pool. Ages are 4-13 and adults and teens over 14.
This is not a learn-to-swim program or a program
for a youngster who can already swim. The program
provides the basics of water safety. Classes
are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
Contact the YMCA for lesson times and registration
material. MID is a program co-sponsor.
