Be prepared for power
outages
Power outages can happen any time, usually with
no warning. Common causes are vehicle-pole accidents,
lightning or windstorms, birds and animals or
equipment failure. Be sure your family is prepared
with an emergency kit that includes:
- Flashlights and fresh batteries
- A portable radio and fresh batteries
- One telephone with a cord - cordless telephones
don't work when the power is off.
If you depend on
medical equipment at home
If you or someone you love depends on medical
equipment at home, don't leave things to chance!
