Water Report
Assistant General Manager Walt Ward, Water
Operations, presented the first water report
of the new year. Last week’s series of
storms brought little moisture, and the current
weather outlook is cold and dry. Reservoirs
in the upper Tuolumne River watershed are about
75 percent full. Snowpack in the central Sierra
Nevada mountains is 63 percent of average for
this time of year. Water elevation at Don Pedro
Reservoir is a comfortable 794.5 feet. In Modesto,
Dry Creek is living up to its name, since rainfall
in the valley floor continues to lag behind
the historical average for this time of year.
