The Modesto Irrigation District and the City of Modesto have agreed to settle litigation over costs associated with the Modesto Regional Water Treatment Plant expansion project (Modesto Irrigation District v. City of Modesto, Stanislaus County Superior Court Case No. 2001607).
MID names new Assistant General Manager, Water Operations (PDF)
The Modesto Irrigation District (MID) is pleased to announce that John Davids will now serve as the new Assistant General Manager (AGM), Water Operations. To achieve an overall strategy for MID's long-term water supply planning, water rights protection, irrigation operations, domestic water operations and groundwater management, MID's Irrigation Operations Division was reorganized into a broader Water Operations Division, which includes reinstatement of the AGM, Water Operations position.
MID names local attorney as new General Counsel (PDF)
The Modesto Irrigation District (MID) Board of Directors announced today that they selected local attorney Ronda Lucas to serve as the District's General Counsel. Lucas will direct and manage all legal activities impacting MID beginning in February. She will participate in projects covering all aspects of MID's operations and provide recommendations and advice to MID's General Manager and Board of Directors.

Following almost three years as MID's General Manager and more than 25 years with the District, Roger VanHoy is looking toward retirement and has asked to step down to Assistant General Manager.

The Modesto Irrigation District and City of Modesto have agreed to put a hold on litigation regarding cost liability associated with the Modesto Regional Water Treatment Plant expansion project. We will focus attention on putting together an agreement to outline joint operations, including surface water, groundwater and stormwater planning.
MID warns customers of scammers (PDF)
Modesto Irrigation District has received reports of scams where callers are contacting MID customers and claiming to be a MID representative. These callers state that the electric meter (or equipment) at the customer's residence needs to be replaced and that an immediate payment needs to be made to ensure that their service won't be cancelled.
